Did you think Dinosaurs were destroyed in the Flood?
by LoisLane looking for Superman inin our jw bible, they placed a friendly dinosaur on the inside front cover on the old time map of the middle east.. you look at that, and see where the placement to where the garden of eden is and that was the image i got in my mind.
dinosaurs lived, but were too big to save in the flood, and besides they had outlived their purpose of fertilizing the earth.
i feel stupid for the thinking i had when i was 'in'.. is that how you 'thought' when you were 'in'?.

oh and t-rexes weren't carnivores of course. carnivores only existed after the flood. t-rex teeth were perfectly formed to eat all those big ass ferns and other plants. i wonder what sharks ate back then.

a few years ago when i still was vocal about the inconsistencies in that religion when talking to my family, my mother told me that the dinosaurs were used to eat all the huge vegetation that existed before the garden of eden was created. some sort of godly lawn mowers in other words. and of course to provide fuel in our days.

Raised On the Third Day?
by TTATTelder ini have some potentially controversial questions.. i have always wondered about these things in the back of my mind, but i would immediately dismiss them.
now i am giving myself permission to explore them further.... a lot of attention is given to how big the sacrifice was on the part of jesus and god when jesus laid down his life.
as the story goes, jesus gave his life for our sins and then was miraculously raised back to life a couple of days later.. consider this.

the whole sacrifice theology doesn't make much sense, but you got a good point there. it's even less than 3 days, supposedly jesus went to preach to the dead souls in the meantime (in non-jw christian theology of course).

plesase help me: examples of true prophets being wrong
by nonjwspouse inmy husband insists all the men chosen to be prophets were inperfect men.
i agreed.
i do not agree that what they prophacied about; said was from the word of god; could ever be wrong.

there's not a single true prophecy in the bible, so you're fighting over a moot point.

What are the best questions?
by MissyM inwhat would you say are the best questions to ask a jw which they will not be able to answer and may make them question their beliefs?.
what (if you are a former jw) made you question the "truth"?.

for me one of the most important points was 607. question: can you show me one single history book that dates the destruction of jerusalem at 607 bc?

it supports polygamy, sharing wifes and concubines, incest etc.
